The BelleToni
Association for Child Passenger Safety was formed in April
2007, nearly one year after the accident which needlessly claimed
Isabelle Broadhead's young life.
Belle's parents - Danielle
and Noel - were determined to make something positive from their
daughter's death, so they set about contacting experts, politicians
and the media in an attempt to give the issue of child passenger
safety the attention it deserves.
They were joined by Leanne
Perry, whose daughter Toni also died in a car accident where all
other occupants walked away.
Our Mission
To reduce the number of Australian
children injured or killed in traffic accidents by actively promoting
child passenger safety, using clear and accurate information.
We're in contact with researchers
and experts from around Australia to ensure we have the right information.
There's a critical mismatch between the findings from clinical research
and the available information, advice and laws.
BelleToni
strongly supports the improvement of Australian Road Rules and Standards,
but our role is to educate - not agitate. So we'll work with government
organisations to achieve our mission.
